Primera Africa is a Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) approved Designated Advisor (DA) for high growth emerging companies who are currently listed or seeking to list on the Alternative Securities Market (ASeM). AseM’s goal is to address major challenges of emerging businesses in Nigeria. Some of which are:
- Difficulty in accessing long term capital due to high cost of funds in the debt market as a result of lingering micro and macroeconomic factors.
- Increased cost of operations due to inadequate basic public infrastructure, access to roads, power etc.
- Informal nature of operations, which undermines strategies, processes and corporate governance.
- Inadequate accounting standards, controls and management of resources.
NSE listing requirements require all ASeM listed companies to appoint a Designated Adviser. As your DA, Primera Africa’s goal is to provide superior execution of pre and post-listing obligations and to help you fully unlock value as a listed company, while minimizing risks. In this capacity, we will fulfill the following roles:
- Provide professional advice on your responsibilities during the application process that will ensure your company satisfies the ASeM Board requirements for initial and continued membership.
- Ensure fairness, transparency, accountability and integrity in the organizations relationship with all its stakeholders and efficient execution of transactions.
- Provide access to timely and accurate market information and insight through objective and opinion-based research that will enable you to make fact-based investment decisions.
- Assist the company’s management and board to discern what information is material and therefore needs to be disclosed to investors.
